I guess my hairdressing career began at 15 at a tiny salon in the village where I lived. I only went for the job because I really wanted a perm and thought it might be a perk of the job…I got the job, and the perm! After leaving school I went on to do A-levels, and soon realised it wasn’t for me. Not really knowing what to do, I happened to see an advert in a shop window for a YTS and that was the start of a career that I’ve loved for the past 28 years!
I’m the oldest member of the bank team, and have seen many of my workmates begin their hairdressing journey, starting with Dawn at college all those years ago. I’ve made life long friends along the way and feel so lucky to work alongside them.
I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing but after trying to avoid Gents styling for years I’ve discovered I actually love it so I’d say that’s my favourite.
My pet hates, I don’t have any!..not sure if my workmates agree
